First there were phonographs, and then 78s, LPs and tapes and along the way came Hi-Fi. Later a few manufacturers (like ourselves) decided that Hi-Fi in general wasn't realistic sounding and so High-end Audio was born. We delivered and continue to deliver products designed to reproduce the same sound and emotion you would get from the original live performance. The advancements made in computer storage enabled the availability of higher-definition music. We pioneered High-Definition digital audio back in 1997 with the first available outboard DAC capable of supporting 24bits/96KHz, and we continue to push the limits with 32bits/384KHz.
Today, nearly everyone has a pocket device that can store thounsands of hours of music. Some of which even have an integrated limited speaker to hear it on, but nobody is bridging the gap between ubiquitous modern portable music devices and the high quality sound of Hi-Fi or High-end Audio.
This is why we are proud to introduce the SDA-50 network amplifier; the first high-definition digital amplifier capable of sourcing music from a wide variety of sources from legacy CD/DVD player to modern wired or wireless WiFi network mediums. The SDA-50 connects directly to external high-end speakers, enabling everyone to listen to their entire music collection be it on CD, DVD, computer, smart portable devices or smartphones in a high-end environment. The SDA-50 functions like a high-end DAC's, entirely in the digital domain with an improved Sigma-Delta modulation running at. Because it's entirely digital, it delivers unprecedented audio clarity with the purity of every instrument positionned precisely in space, where it was recorded, erasing the limits of the walls in your listening environment.
Some say that High=End Audio is making a come back. We believe it never left, maybe it was forgotten and gathered dust for awhile. The SDA-50 is here to remind us what a fantastic music listening experience is, and will forever be your speaker's new best friend
